About Us

Welcome to the Agape Young Adult Community! The Agape Community serves the Roman Catholic parishes of the Northern Oakland County area, while also drawing membership from throughout the region. The Community welcomes all young adults ages 18-35 to join us on a journey of fellowship and spiritual growth.

Since 2002, the Agape Community has served the Pontiac Oakland parishes as one of the few young adult groups within the Archdiocese of Detroit to focus on regional ministry. Understanding that today’s young believer has a unique range of challenges and needs, Agape offers a variety of social and spiritual opportunities that seek to engage today’s Catholics. Through our monthly Regional Young Adult Mass and bi-annual retreats, we come together to pray and explore our faith. And through events like couple’s ministry and Coney’s and Conversations, we encourage discussion and community building.

Fall Retreat
Our fall retreat takes place in October at the Capuchin retreat center in Washington, MI. A truly wonderful time of fellowship and faith.

Agape has a proud history of dialogue with the various faith traditions in our area, and we welcome all to our events as part of our mission. We also collaborate with Oakland University’s Catholic Campus Ministry on major events, allowing believers of all ages to share perspectives and learn from each other. Our doors are always open, and we welcome new members with warmth and generosity, as we live out our name and who we are.

Mass and Adoration
We offer a special time of adoration and mass on our retreats.
